Clinical Predictors of Parkinson's disease Psychosis (PDP) Lead Investigator: Kate Perepezko Institution : Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine E-Mail : kperepe1@jhu.edu Proposal ID : 1045 Proposal Description: We want to determine which demographic or clinical factors are related to the onset of psychosis in Parkinson's disease. Longitudinal studies suggest that the prevalence of psychotic symptoms in Parkinson's disease increases over the course of the disease, with up to 60 of patients experiencing psychotic symptoms by 12 years (Forsaa et al., 2010). However, currently it is unknown which clinical or demographic factors predict Parkinson's disease psychosis. In order to better determine the mechanism behind psychosis and study potential treatments it is important to understand who is more at risk. The goals of this project are to 1) describe the incidence of psychosis 2) explore clinical and demographic factors related to Parkinson's disease psychosis. Forsaa, E. B., Larsen, J.
